This paper analyzes the role of technology in achieving Sustainable Development Goal 4 (SDG 4), which aims to ensure inclusive and quality education, focusing on developing countries with a special emphasis on Kosovo. In the context of global digital transformations, technology has become a key factor in improving access to education, increasing the quality of teaching, and developing 21st-century competencies.
This study is based on an analysis of existing literature and international reports, examining the impact of technologies such as online learning, artificial intelligence, and digital platforms on the education systems of developing countries. The findings show that technology can significantly contribute to expanding educational opportunities, especially for marginalized groups and rural areas. However, in the case of Kosovo, challenges such as the lack of digital infrastructure, socio-economic inequalities, and low levels of digital competencies limit the effectiveness of these interventions.
In conclusion, the study argues that technology can be an important catalyst for achieving SDG 4 in Kosovo and other developing countries, only if accompanied by comprehensive policies, strategic investments, and human capacity development.
